Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented Video Editor with Motion Graphics Skills to work on a large project for our agency client, approx. 30-35 hours/week, for the next 1-2 months, beginning in October. You will play a pivotal role in crafting visually compelling and captivating internal videos that engage, inform, and entertain. You will be responsible for editing and enhancing video content, while integrating motion graphics and visual effects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit raw video footage and assemble it into polished, engaging, and cohesive videos that align with the project’s objectives and audience.
- Collaborate closely with the creative team, producers, and videographers to understand project requirements, goals, and creative vision.
- Create visually stunning motion graphics and visual effects that enhance the storytelling and convey complex ideas in a clear and engaging manner.
- Combine animation, graphics, and text elements seamlessly to produce eye-catching motion graphics sequences.
- Enhance video content with colour correction, audio mixing, and sound design to ensure high-quality final products.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Provide input and creative ideas during initial briefing calls and planning sessions.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years proven experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio showcasing proficiency in motion graphics and visual effects.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects (and your own work station that has the latest versions of these programs)
- Solid understanding of video composition, visual storytelling, and animation principles.
- Strong aesthetic sense and a keen eye for detail, colour, typography, and design.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to be responsive over email or telephone.
- Time management skills to meet project deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to contribute innovative ideas to video projects.
